Anita Martin called the meeting to order at 5:30pm at Lake Mills high School. Thirteen members, two guests, and ten Interact students were present. Pledge of allegiance and 4 Way Test recited.
Interact advisor Betsy Hirschfield led the meeting along with the Interact students.
Service Above Self is their motto.
Three committees with 3 advisors (School, Local/Global, The Mill)
Meetings are held once per month. Committees meet every other month.
Interact bank balance is $262.13. Dues are $5.
The Mill bank balance is $22,735.75.
Donations received: $10,000 from Schuenke Family, $13,000 from sponsorships, and $3,000 from Lake Mills Family Dental.
School Committee: 3 large assemblies per school year plus holiday fun events.
The Mill: food pantry plus household items, toiletries. Usually about 8 families per week. Distribution will be more private with high school expansion.
Local Global: toy drive with Sunrise Reach, Empty Bowl with art club in January. Also
worked concessions at Rotary Park, Wellness Resource Fair, pumpkin painting at Lilac Springs, witches night out (Tyranena Ladies Club) and winter market.
