President Anita Martin brought the meeting to order at 12:10pm. Pledge of Allegiance and 4 Way Test recited.
Sixteen Rotarians were in attendance and three zoomed. Nine guests attended the meeting.
Program:
- Hank and Pam Geib gave a presentation on their trip “America’s Great Loop.” Todd Larson introduced his friends.
Happy Rotary Anniversary to Brian Benisch (8 years)
Roadway Clean Up: 9 people volunteered including 3 from Farmers and Merchants Bank. Three bags of trash were collected in 45 minutes. Next road clean up will be April 15, 2026.
Round Up at the Market ended July 31. Check received for $2,309.
Jefferson Diaper Collection – you can still donate diapers. Drop off at Health Department in Jefferson. Thanks to Anita for dropping diapers that were brought to meeting.
Fall Concessions: divide into 6 teams, 9 people per team. Volunteer 1 Saturday for the season. Random picks for teams. Starts September 6 and will run for 6 weeks. Concession open from 8am-1pm.
Next meeting will be August 19 at noon. Guest speaker will be Jefferson County Administrator Michael Luckey.
Blood Drive: August 20. Volunteers are all set.
Night Rotary: August 20 6pm-7pm at Tyranena Brewing.
Celebration of Life for Ken Stetson will be Saturday, August 23 from 11am-3pm at Korth Park Pavilion. Please wear red or Badger attire.
Next Board meeting will be August 26 at 7am at Farmers and Merchants Bank. All are invited to attend.
Social: August 26 at Tom Vinz home. Social begins at 5pm with dinner to follow at 6pm. Fun activities planned. No noon meeting.
September 2 – no meeting. Enjoy the long weekend!
September 9 – program will be Road to Marital Success Unpaved.
5K Run is September 13. Sunshine Brewing will be be open for brunch after run.
September 23 – Jim Wishaw will be giving the Rotary Foundation annual report.

- Andy attended Packer preseason game with son. Irish Fest is this weekend and kids have been practicing.
- Ed and his wife celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary.
- Jim and his wife celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary.
- Todd: the boat buddies that the speakers talked about today went home to Minnesota and are getting divorced.
- Scott: speakers today grew up boating.
- Pat and Forest Boyd celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary.
- Anita survived her 50th class reunion.
Ed: reminder that student Rotarians will start on September 9.
Teacher of the Month will be the second Tuesday of each month but may change to the first Tuesday for 2026-2027. Stay tuned.
Apparel: next week we will have an apparel sign up form for those interested in Rotary apparel.
