Brian W. opened the meeting at the Pyramid Event Venue at 12:15pm and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance followed with the Four-Way Test.

Bridges Library System received a grant from Boeder Philanthropy to help fund 18 month project to facilitate and collect interviews for Story Corps.

Started by focusing on sharing stories with individuals with Memory Loss and their Care Givers. Share stories with families and caregivers. 20 libraries involved. Expanding to anyone who wants to share stories, conversations, or history. Typically, stories shared are a great conversations with someone that matters in your life.

Jill and Gerard attended Facilitator training and learned how to facilitate these conversations and setup equipment to record and share conversations.

What do the interviews look like?

Facilitator and 2-3 people.
Talking and Sharing intimate conversation, stories or world history for about 40 minutes.
Record special memories and stories to keep and share.
Participants get a copy of the recording.
No charge to participants.
Participants choose what to do with the story. Archive stories. Release to public.
Stories can be Archived in the Library of Congress.
