Day Meeting Minutes - 08/24/2021

Mick S. opened the meeting at the Pyramid Event Venue at 12:15pm and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance followed with the Four-Way Test.

-Dist. Gov will be here on 31st-Board Meeting 11 am
-Sept. 7th Pyramid closed--Reg. meeting at Rotary Park picnic style
-needs registrants for pyramid run.  if you are not volunteering, considering signing up to walk
-777 joker draw...only 6 cards left...Randy Q spades (honorary joker)--WINNER!
-Randy won $213--donate 1/2...would like it to go to lights on south side sign

goes into pedigree for that cow
Collects Data and provides summary for owner

leaves a printout with the owner or uploads for them
Highest scored living cow Lexi is 97 pts in WI. 
97 pt. Brown swiss cow in Quebec 
85 pts. or higher is top 97% 
Hired by breeder for unbiased evaluation
takes 3 months to train for the job
travels 20 days of the month
lots of bizarre experiences
Sister is a cattle photographer
COVID was challenging.  Although traveling was easier, less people traveling during COVID.  Planes 1/2 full. Grateful for warm meals post COVID.
25k-30k miles /year on company car and fly about 1/2 time. 
interesting story....
*rented a car in Seattle Washington. always takes pics of rental car.  dings/oil on doors and dirty interior. 3 months later...received a bill charged to her American Express for $450 excessive smoke smell.  
*Worked outside in Northern Kansas when -27 degrees for 5 days.  wearing a mask...glasses fogged up and froze!
