Lake Mills Rotary President Anita M. called the Board meeting to order at 7:02am.

Guests were Pam Streich, Wendy Brockert, Tonya Olson
Motion made by Beth N. to approve agenda. Seconded by Amy L. Motion carried.
Library presentation: Pam and Wendy
Nothing on the front of the building will be touched.
Addition will be on the back side of the building.
Approval by city for up to $2.5 million and city will match up to that amount. Today, donations/pledges are $1.8 million.
Naming rights for certain giving levels.
Wendy and Pam thought if 100% of Rotarians could donate then pool money and use that for recognition opportunity.
Naming rights are for 25 years.
Pyramid City 5K Run proceeds will go to library campaign.
There is an urgency to have pledges made by the end of May.
Bids are coming in this spring. Ground breaking is late summer/early fall.
At the February City Council meeting, pledges will be announced.
Completion will be approximately 1 year.
RYLA:
Budget amount is $1,750.
Support 2-5 students to attend.
Tonya O. works with counselors, teachers to pick students. Students need to write a letter and interview. RYLA weekend is Mother’s Day weekend.
Beth could help pick up students and Brian offered to help bring luggage to the campground.
Students who attend will give a presentation to Rotary at the end of May.

Aaron is taking a leave of absence until April/May.
Rotarians leaving are Nicole F. and Tara T.
2 members owe more than 1 quarter of dues. Anita has been contacting.
Statements for those that owe will go out today.
For those owe 3 quarters of dues, a termination letter will go out in early June.
Concession Stand:
Challenge staffing during the spring and summer months.
Need certification for food handling. Certificate can be obtained online.
PTO has been in contact with Tonya about possibly running concession stand for the spring/summer sports. Tonya will contact and report back.
Funds could be deposited by Rotary and at the end of the season a donation will be made for the outdoor classroom at the elementary school.
Todd L. has agreed to do ordering if concession stand stays open.
The Tyranena Ladies Club has also offered to help at concession stand.
Motion made by Brian for Tonya O. to explore interest by the PTO to run the concession stand for the spring/summer sports. Amy L. seconded but added to also find another organization if PTO is out. Motion carried.
Will be discussed at February Board meeting.
Donations:
Rainbow Community Care – Beth N. made a motion to donate $500. Second by Will G. Motion carried.
Guatemala Midwife training project – Brian B. made a motion to donate $1,000. Second by Barb C. Motion carried. Karen R. and Don B. will work on grant.
FYI Round Up at the Market for Rotary will be the month of February.
Events:
Rotary Saturday is the last weekend in April. Permits are in process.
Blood Drive is February 11. Contact Brian B. if you can volunteer.
Sponsorship Appreciation: 25 people attended. Event was well received. Expenses included appetizers ($200), 1 drink per person ($45 + tip), posters, invitations and mailing costs. Donor has offered to pay for the food. Total additional expenses for the evening are approximately $200.
March 25 evening meeting location is TBD. Will know more next week.
Scholarships:

$8,000 has been budgeted from Club.
Foundation:
May need funds from Club for concession stand improvements.
Foundation meeting location has been changed to Agency Insurance.
