- Review of Profit and Loss Budget vs Actual by Dan Sanft
- Review of 2021-2022 proposed budget by Dan Sanft
- Discussed change to budget to remove car raffle as income.
- Brian Watson proposed a new fundraiser he learned about at president elect training. A calendar raffle would solicit donations from area businesses
Marketing Update
- Membership comes in organically and we are not recruiting directly
- New member packet update - Eli will have it for us by next meeting
New Business
- Mick would like to form a new committee called a "Mentorship Committee" . Motion by Eli, 2nd by Brian W. All were in favor
- LM Rotary Historian creation. Mick would like to put together a record of events that rotary has taken part of.
- Rotary youth exchange - Karen R has shown interest in this. Last year we were moving forward with this, but it was cancelled due to covid.
- Meals discussion: Whether we use BIA as sole provider of meals for the club. Scott will discuss with Bon Ton the value of our business and how it works for them. Eli will check with BIA.
- Organizational Meeting and business meeting - define them
- Gene Hasel - Jenn suggested he become an honorary member. Gene is in poor health and cannot attend meetings, but is still paying.
- Evening Assembly - Discussion given to the purpose of evening assemblies. There was a clear direction to continue evening assemblies.
- Adopt A Highway - Night club initiative led by Sandy and Zach to clean up a portion of highway 89. It is done 3x per year with a report done at the end of each. There will be a sign that shows the Rotary Club of Lake Mills. Motion by Brian, W. 2nd by Jenn. All were in favor.
Old Business
- Dean sanders memorial. Discussion given to a larger community project to pool funds together. - Hanging Baskets May 4th
