PROGRAM
Loree (Hein) Walker, Lake Mills Native was our guest speaker at the Rotary meeting to share information about myofascial release and how it can help people heal physically and emotionally.  She owns and operates Facilitated Healing, LLC in Watertown and currently resides in Watertown.  The mission of Facilitated Healing is to provide clients with the services and knowledge necessary to reclaim control of their healing and well-being.
She is an Expert Level John F. Barnes Method Myofascial Release Practitioner, Licensed Massage Therapist & Owner

Loree’s love and compassion for children with special needs was the motivation for her first career as a foster parent and special education teacher. She graduated from UW-Whitewater in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in special education.

After 26 years of working with special needs children and dealing with chronic illness, Loree discovered alternatives that led her on a healing journey to a new career path as a massage therapist.

Loree's journey started as a young child.  She recalls being very ill as a child.  Loree is the youngest of 8 kids.  She was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis (UC) at a young age.  When her sister Sally passed away in 1996, this was very traumatic for her and caused a UC flair up.  During that episode, she had a near death experience and it changed her life.  She was determined to find an alternative rather than have surgery to remove her large intestine.
Loree met with a nutritionist and director of a supplement program, as well as making lifestyle changes to help improve her overall health.  She stopped taking medication cold turkey, but does not recommend doing that without consulting a physician!  It took approximately six months to start seeing improvements.  All of her symptoms went away.  She did not know how sick she was until she was well.  Due to lifestyle changes & self care she has been medication free for years!

Loree graduated from East-West Healing Arts Institute in 2005 and became certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. She is licensed in the state of Wisconsin and is a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals.

In September 2006 Loree attended her first John F. Barnes Myofascial Release seminar.  She knew immediately that she had found what she needed to best facilitate her clients in their own healing journey. Since then, Loree has taken all of the John F. Barnes Myofascial Seminars becoming an Expert Level Myofascial Release Therapist.  She has assisted at several seminars and looks forward to assisting at more.  JFB-MFR has not only changed Loree's practice but it has had a huge impact on her own personal well-being.

Facilitated Healing, LLC offers the John F Barnes Approach of Myofascial Release (MFR), therapeutic massage, acupuncture, reiki, self-heal techniques, and education. They also offer a variety of yoga classes, meditation, and educational classes to facilitate this process.

Facilitated Healing, LLC is located at 1517 Doctor Court in Watertown.  There are 10-15 practitioners currently helping clients with healing.   Myofascial release is very holistic and goes deep  to help with emotional healing.   Myofascial Release deals with Micro-tubial systems filled with gelatinous fluid that runs throughout the entire body.  Emotions and memories are stored in cells primarily in your myofascial system, rather than in the brain. You have likely heard of Fight or Flight.  Did you know that you can also "Freeze"? Sometimes we don't come out of the "freeze" mode, myofascial release can help you "thaw" and heal physically and emotionally.

For the most up to date information on services, what to expect at your first appointment, holiday specials and more you can visit the Facilitated Healing, LLC website....https://www.fhwrc.com/services

The Health Nut is located in the basement of her facility.
