Board Meeting Minutes - 08/31/2021 

Attendees: Brian Watson, Karen Herbert, Eli Wedel, Jenn Christian, Dan Sanft, Scott Tellsefson, Mick Selck, Jenny McAdow, Ken Stetson

 

 

1. Karen opened meeting with appreciation gift for Jenn C. Secretary and Dan Sanft Treasurer 
2.  Financial report – Dan S. provided updated updated balance sheet and P&L
   • pd. entire year for storage unit
   • $2422 for 2019 tree project is on this years P&L 
3. Membership – adds/deletions
   • Dog & Shrub did not renew
   • Dr. Don Buchstein interested in joining
4. Beer / wine event, or car raffle, or ????
   • voted to cancel Beer/Wine and do a Car raffle again due to COVID restrictions, vendor supply and staffing
5. Bartels beach playground
   • $4400 raised at TT's Timeout
   • Estimated cost of Rubber Handicap Accessible surface is $82k (city's responsibility)
   • possibly do a cookout at The Market to help raise funds.

6. Calendar raffle
   • planned for March 
   • Jenn C. is researching advertising

7. Interclub for September – Jefferson-Wednesday at Noon
8. Water project – India
   • awaiting details from Ed H. 
9. Picnic next week at Rotary Park (Pyramid closed)
   • Jenn is working with Mitch to arrange food
10. Other
    • Meal cost increased from $11 to $12 ok by board due to increased cost to Bia
    • 5k Fun Run-night meeting at 7 pm to finalize plans to order t-shirts in 2 weeks
11. Karen Herbert notes
    • District mission to strengthen and support clubs and help connect district resources
    • working on district website improvements
    • loves that we are collaborating with other rotary groups to share ideas to put into action
    • Challenged our group--What is our collective Goal for the year?  How will we celebrate our success?
    • Ken reiterated we aim to exemplify Service above Self
    • 2nd wave of District Grants in January--collaborate with district
