Rotary Foundation Meeting
Called to order 12:38
President Jim W
5 Member Board - Four of the members have 5 year terms. Jim W (President - term expiring), Dean S (VP), Nicole (Secretary), Ed H (treasurer).
The foundation meets quarterly and rotate regular club members into the meetings as guests so everyone gets a chance to see what the foundation does.
History: Funds used to be in the city foundation about 10 years ago. There were problems in communications and follow throughout with the investment manager, so the foundation moved money into Vanguard accounts.
Current Funds: In June, we had a total investment of about $82,000. Investments are in different accounts: Ready Cash, Community Projects, and Endowment Fund (generates interest to fund a scholarship every year).
If you want to give a charitable donation to the foundation, please direct the foundation on where to put that money. If donations are not specified, the money is split 2/3 endowment and 1/3 community fund.
Nominations are open for President. Jim W will run again if needed. Amy L nominates Jim W. Seconded by Janine. Ken moves to close nominations. Seconded by Ed. Jim is elected to the position unanimously.
