Jenny gave a happy buck for the Music in the Mills that was successful. It looks like they made money, which was the goal. The money raised will be able to give away for scholarships.
Ed also gave a happy buck for Music in the Mills. It was fun and the bands were awesome.
Tonya gave a happy buck for the Channel3000 story and interview. Additionally, a fine was taken for Jenny being in the press.

Membership:
Pickleball nets ordered and will take 6-8 weeks to arrive. Plan to install them in spring of 2024. An idea was brought up at the Executive Meeting to have a Pickball Informational.
Concession:
There are still available spots. Look for emails from Dan Sanft or Jason Dunn.
Volunteer needed to fill Ed’s spot in concession 10:45 am- 1 pm on Oct 14th.

Thank you so much to students for your involvement in Rotary and to all that helped with Music in the Mills. Always remember that together you can accomplish great things. Some jobs/tasks were big that needed to get done and some were “small”…all were important and helped us have a BIG event. Thank you so much for helping!
Interact=amazing opportunity for students to practice the Rotary Motto…”service above self”. Thus, gaining important leadership skills, developing friendships, and working together with others to help your community and always keeping the 4-way test in mind.
These lessons do not end with Interact. If you attend college after high school, you can join Rotaract Club for students 18+.
Finally, after you enter your professional life, any Rotary Club in the world will welcome you into their membership.
Rotary can be a home for you no matter where you go!

Program Speaker: Interact Presentation by Betsy & Vanessa
Introduction
Interact Club is the High School version of the Rotary Club. Mrs. Hirschfield is the Advisor for this. This program has student representatives as President, Vice President, and Committee Chairs (The Mills, School, Local, and Global. They meet the second Friday of each month.
The Interact Club runs similar to the Lake Mills Rotary Club with a President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Committees are chaired by student members.
Treasurer Report
Every member must pay $5.
Interact Club has $793.86.
The Mills has $6,107.07
Looking to donate $500 to Fort Interact food program,
Also wanting to give back to Lake Mills Food Pantry as they get a lot of their food there throughout the school year.
Last year at the same meeting, the Interact was struggling with financials. Thanks to a suggestion from Pam Streich, they connected with Second Harvest, and they are in a better place.
They are so thankful for donations from community members and local businesses. The Interact Club asked for donations via letter, and it was well received. Notably, a check came in from Tina Schuenke for $2,000.
School Committee Report
One project per month.
September, they handed out candy on the first day of school.
They will have more throughout the year.
The purpose is to boost enthusiasm and create a more positive environment at school.
Mill Committee Report
Serve about 10 families per week.
Trying to advertise better to increase the number.
They helped 80 children a week with a food program in the summer.
Last year they provided Thanksgiving Meals containing Thanksgiving Meal supplies and whole turkeys.
They also intend to have feminine hygiene products in all student-accessible bathrooms.
Local/Global Committee
Local project in the fall.
Last year they collected gently used games for Lilac Springs.
Global project in the spring.
Last year they donated money for earthquake release in Turkey.
