Dave R opened the meeting at the Lake Mills EMS building at 12:20pm and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance followed with the Four-Way Test.

Greg - Sun Prairie library talk, full house. Had a great evening, lots of questions, librarians said it was one of the best talks she has heard by an author. Barnes and noble has agreed to carry his book!
Mick - Ethan football team has started, team is doing very well. Barret is also in football and having fun. Freshman orientation yesterday and Ethan is looking to join interact
Jenn - Meghann's surgery went well on Thursday but pain is bothering her.

- Community fun event brainstorming, not based on selling tickets or alcohol. Concert in the park? Water skii show?
- 65 year anniversary for lake mills rotary this November. We want to get a group photo
- Meeting etiquette - discussed trying to reduce side conversations and phone use

- Discussed raising cost of meals to $11 since it has not raised in quite some time. Motion to raise meal cost from $10 to $11 by Jim W, 2nd by Janine. Motion passed

Lake Mills Rotary Foundation Annual Meeting

Opened at 12:53 by Jim W

- Motion to approve the agenda by Brian B, 2nd by Janine. Motion passed

- Current board - Jim W President, Dean S Vice President, Ken Stetson Secretary, Ed Heimstreet Treasurer, David Roedl President rotary club

- Kens term is expiring and would like to step down

- Election of new board members: Nicole has agreed to run for the board, no others have stepped forward. Motion to close nominations and elect Nicole S to the board. 2nd by Brian B. Motion passed

- Treasurers report by Ed H: Fund balance in BLM $10,456.36 and Vanguard $70,626.41. $2,730.82 in the BLM is exclusively for use at local parks

- Donations to the foundation: You can contribute to scholarship fund or save for community projects. When you donate, you can specify where you want your donation to go. If you dont specify, they use a 60/40 rule where 60% scholarships and 40% to local projects. These donations are tax deductible

- Review of charitable projects: Wallace park still has money designated specifically for it. Quotes have been received for batting cages. The school will pay for one batting cage, and two are left. Another business is interested in donating as well.

- Motion to add $5000 each year from lake mills rotary club to the foundation by Ann, Brian B 2nd.
