1, Please tell us about yourself ( i.e. number of brothers/sisters, hobbies, interests, ect.)

My name is Molly FitzGibbon. I have three younger sisters, two of which are  twins. I spend most of my time volunteering for community service projects,  working, and writing the school newspaper. In my free time, I enjoy reading,

writing, photography, baking, playing sports such as softball, basketball, cross  country, and archery, and spending time with my friends. In all of these activities,  however, I am focused on doing everything I can to be a stronger leader and  positive influence in my school and community as a whole.

2, Please list all extracurricular activities that you have participated in and plan to be  involved in this year. List all offices and the year of participation ( 9, 10, 11, 12).

My freshman year (9), I participated in Jr. Optimist Club, cross country,  basketball, and softball.

My sophomore year (10), I was a part of Jr. Optimist Club, cross country,  basketball, during which I was a player and a manager, softball, and the crew of  the fall musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang .

During my junior year (11), I devoted my time to Link Crew, cross country,  basketball, during which I was a player and a manager, softball, Forensics, the  Lariat (our school newspaper), the yearbook, and SLACC, our student athlete  leadership program.

This year, as a senior (12), I have been involved in Link Crew, becoming a chosen  leader among our Link Crew leaders, cross country, basketball, softball, the Lariat  (our school newspaper) as the editor and co-writer, the yearbook, SLACC, our  student athlete leadership program, and the National Honor Society.

4. What are your plans after high school graduation?

After I graduate high school, I plan to attend UW-Madison to major in English. I’m  considering extending my education to become an English teacher, likely one for  high school students. My intention is that wherever I end up, I make a positive  impact on the people around me and society as a whole.

5. What do you hope to gain from your selection as Student Rotarian?

As a Student Rotarian, I hope to gain perspective from the members of the Rotary  Club. I would like to learn more about what the Rotary Club does for the Lake  Mills community, and how I can become more involved to make positive  contributions as well. I hope to learn from the Rotary Club members’s stories of  their assistance and service to others and understand what it means to be a  proponent of the community and making a difference. Finally, I hope to learn  more about who I want to be as a person and how I can make a difference in  society from the people who have done so already in such a compelling way.
