Nicole works in the Lake Mills Chiropractic building as the head of Integrated Health solutions. This is a regnerative medicene practice.
Joint Degeneration and Conventional Solutions
Your joints experience general wear and tear as you age. Your cartilage wears down and your body starts producing different bones to protect joints. There are 4 stages of arthritis. Typically when you go to the doctor for this they will prescribe you an anti-inflammatory. What these do is eliminate the pain, but actually progress arthritis at a faster rate. When you reach the final stage of arthritis, your best option is expensive surgery.
Peripheral Neuropathy
On nerves, there are little arms that act as protective sleeves. When there is damage to the protective sleeve on the nerve, that is what neuropathy is. When the sleeve is damaged the nerve can’t “talk” to other nerves and the signals shoot in all different directions. This is why you have pain, shooting pain, and numbness. When you have neuropathy you are prescribed drugs that causes your perception to dampen rather than get better. With this neuropathy will actually become worse.
Alternative Solutions
PRP is platelet-rich plasma. With this procedure, they extract blood and spin it to get your healthy plasma. They then syringe out the “good stuff” and insert it where the damage is. This helps your body to initiate a healing process. The benefits of this are that: your body won’t reject this as it’s healing from your own body, it helps create new blood vessels, and it creates osteoblasts which generate new bone growth.
Mesenchymal Stem Cell (MSC). A healthy mom can donate stem cells from her umbilical cord which can be used to heal her body. Stem cells promote new growth, healing, and overall health. This alternative method is being used for many types of healing. (Think heart attack, stroke, etc) What this really does is “reverse the clock” on the damage done to your body.
