Program
Kaitlyn Twesme - Freshman at LMHS spoke about her Wisconsin Space Crystal Mission.
She first won a prize for a crystal growing contest, and this led her into a larger program
Her team (3 members) created a project to compare the growth of cystals on earth and space
They designed the experiment and had it sent to the international space station, where astronauts finished their procedures
She has been able to travel all over the country to present the findings: Crystals grown in space are more clear than on earth
She has been selected to participate in a 2018/2019 project to test a different method of crystal growing in the same conditions
