Day Meeting Minutes - November 7, 2017

Greg Renz opened the meeting at the Lake Mills EMS building at 12:20pm and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance followed with the Four-Way Test.

Happy Bucks

  • Becky was happy for numerous things.  *LMHS Football winning in the 2nd round of playoffs.  *Drove out to Tuscon, AZ with her mother and daughter to drop off her daughter at her First Duty Station.  *Flew back home Friday night to watch the LMHS Football game, unfortunately, they did not win, but it was a great season!  *Her son, Harley, was named to the 1st Team All Conference Offensive Lineman & 1st Team All Conference Defensive End.
  • Ed invited everyone to the LMHS Musical this weekend.  Box Office Hours will be November 6-9 from 2-6pm and one hour before the show.
  • Steve is happy that E Lake Park Pl is done!
  • Ken congratulation the LLHS Volleyball Team on winning being D2 State Champions!
  • Dean was happy to hand out the State Awards for Tennis this year.  He wishes he was still on the board to hand out the award to LLHS for Volleyball though.  This morning he attended the Optimists Breakfast.  Last week he was deer hunting, saw a lot of deer, all were just a tad too small.  He is also happy to have both kids coming home for the weekend.
  • Quinn (Student Rotarian) found out this morning that she was named to the All State Volleyball Honorable Mention Team.
  • Ed was happy for a Badger Football win.
  • Jenn congratulated a local grocery store owner for being named Lake Mills Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year.
  •  Amy was reading an article about WI made products and it included two items from Lake Mills; Seljan's Motorized Cooler and Erik Olsen's Whirly Board.

  • Sandee Macht is matching new contributions up to $360 for the first year. Matched in a lump sum.  She encourages everyone to do it TRF Direct. If you do so, please contact Sandee.  She caps out at $4000 total.
  • Volunteer Applications for working at The Mill are still available.  See Ed.  Volunteers are needed to work Wednesday afternoons.  Must have background check through school and Food Handling Course complete.
  • An Assembly will be held on Tuesday, November 28th at The Grist.  A sign-up will be sent out.
  • By-Laws will be voted on in 2 weeks.
  • Money is due in 2 weeks for the Adopt-A-Family.  Looking to raise $1000.
