Brian W. opened the meeting at the Lake Mills High School at 6:15 pm and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance followed with the Four-Way Test.

- Sandy M updated on upcoming Hwy Cleanup Sunday Oct 3rd at 10 am. Meeting North of LMills at Rock Lake Rd. Walking south 1 Mile. Approx. 6 volunteers will take approx. 1 hour.
- Pyramid City Run Oct 9th at 9:30 am at Korth Park. Need volunteers at 8 am. Approx. 20 participants registered. Scavenger hunt for kids also.

Betsy Hirschfeld, new interact director introduced President Katrina Breaker. Interact meets 1st Wed. of every month.

President Katrina gave a recap of accomplishments from last year:
1. BIG CLUB this year....up to 95 students!
Thanks to Mrs. Iverson's Marketing Class project giving a spotlight to Interact Club and helping build participation.
2. The Mill (food pantry) is up and running at the high school. Hosted a dress up week fundraiser to help support The Mill. Served approx. 2-3 families/week last year, sometimes with a weeks worth of groceries.
3. Heifer International Donation Made - held a Cookie Sale, raising $150 and then matched the $150 with Interact Funds....making a $300 donation to for Heifer International.
Interact has 4 Committees this year:
GLOBAL-Chloe T. shared ideas for spring projects. the committee will vote on which project(s) they would like to focus on together.

LOCAL-Meghan Christian reviewed how interact supports the local community.

SCHOOL-Cooper Sigmund shared "Be the Change" initiative to spread positivity.
- Hung Posters with Positive Messages throughout the school
- Organized small events to bring students together in positive environment
- Left positive notes and treats for individuals randomly
THE MILL-Katie T. shared details about the food pantry.
- pantry is in the old FACS room
- Posters are displayed throughout the school that include a QR code.
- Students in need can scan the QR code and place an anonymous order
- the order is accepted by Mrs. Hirschfeld and then prepped by The Mill volunteers
- Order is placed in the office for the student to pick up at the end of the day
- The Mill received a $250 donation from Kwik Trip recently
- Will be hosting a Homecoming/Prom Dress Swap
- Items for Thanksgiving Dinner will be avail. too
- Middle School also has a food pantry, but not associated with Interact
- Discussed ideas for how to make available for Elementary School and Lakeside students
