President Anita Martin brought the meeting to order at 12:22pm. Pledge of Allegiance and 4 Way Test recited.
Fifteen Rotarians were in attendance. One Rotarian on Zoom. Five guests including 4 student Rotarians were in attendance.
Speaker: current Rotarian Eric Dvorachek gave a presentation about himself so that his fellow Rotarians would know a little about him. Eric was raised in Reedsville on a hobby farm. He is from a very small family. Loves to fish, hunt deer and cars. Working since he was 13 including bailing hay, pin setter, dishwasher, working at a sign company. He has been married to wife Lisa for 25 years. They have 2 sons and 2 daughters. Eric loves teaching kids about shooting guns. The family lives on a hobby farm near Hubbleton. They have animals all over the farm. He was a robotic coach. Eric believes in life long learning. He is now the Director of Operations at EK Machine. Eric joined Rotary to be part of a community, build relationships that grow roots and meet new people. He also likes to help people. His goals as a Rotarian are: wear Rotary attire, get together for coffee or lunch with fellow Rotarians and plans to help with highway clean up.

Member list was handed out with names and phone numbers. Would like members to call people who have not been attending meetings and encourage them to attend a meeting.
Carmen is inviting Rotarians to the World Interact Day event at Lake Mills High School on Wednesday, November 5. President of the UW-Madison Rotaract Club will be the guest speaker. Event is from 9:30am-10am. Let Carmen know you will be attending.
Board meeting info:
Plans are being made to sponsor an appreciation dinner for Rotary sponsors. Beth, Brian and Barb will coordinate. Heavy appetizers. Location and date TBD.
Fort Atkinson and Jefferson Rotary Clubs are looking at a joint matching grant project. Asking for $5,000 for the Rock River Clinic (move dental services and add behavioral health). This donation would deplete the community project line item in the budget. Needed for 2026-2027. Jim Nelson is coordinating. Board voted to approve joint district grant. Motion made by Tom to donate $5,000 to the grant project. Second by Brian B. Motion carried.
Ken Stetson memorial bench at Rotary Park with plaque was approved for up to $1,800. Motion made by Jim to approve up to $1,800 for bench, installation and plaque. Second by Barb. Motion carried.
Sunshades or dugouts at Rotary and Wallace Park tabled until new Parks Director is hired. Also will wait to hear about the digger, handicap swing, pickle ball fence and basketball court resurfacing until new director is hired. These were approved by previous Parks Director.
Club 55 has asked for $500 to sponsor a community meal in January. Will table until next month.
Vaccine Clinic is October 30 from 9am-3pm at RLAC. Anyone can get a covid and/or flu vaccine.
