Naturopathic Doctor
"Dr Marcus Welby" model of healthcare- a strong relationship with patients, spend quality time with patients, individualized care
Naturopathic interventions go back to the 1700s. Now, there are 7 naturopathic schools and licensing in most states
The schooling is a 4 year post graduate medical program covering everything from anatomy and physiology to clinical nutrition. Then they must complete board examination. Licenses require 40 years of CE every two years.
ND's are trained to refer to other specialists when necessary
The first appointment is 1.5 to 2 hours long and is a deep dive into the last 20 years of medical history. A physical exam follows. A deeper dive into lab work is often conducted, even if previous labs are within normal ranges. They consider medication interactions or side effects.
She practices in Lake Mills in the Optimal PT building.
