President Anita Martin brought the meeting to order at 12:15pm. Pledge of Allegiance and 4 Way Test recited. Twenty-six Rotarians were in attendance, one Rotarian on zoom plus several guests.

Zach W. discussed the concession stand. Make sure to wash hands and wear gloves if serving food. Zach and Todd L. will handle the food prep. Make sure to interact with kids and customers. Value meals have gone over well. Two rain outs so far. Dan S. contacts volunteers if there is a rain out. Food is not to be saved – give away at the end of the evening. Keep candy bars in refrigerator so they don’t melt. Dan S. mentioned that there are openings next week for volunteers. Check your email and sign up online.
Speaker: Wendy Baumann from the WI Department of Financial Institution. Wendy has been a Rotarian for 38 years. Dept. of Financial Institutions protects the safety and soundness of financial institutions. Regulate banks and credit unions. All non-profits and LLC’s go thru office. Recent changes to EdVest 529 (tax exempt accounts). They can be transferred from child to child. They can also be rolled into a Roth account. ABLE accounts are for people with disabilities. The administration of these accounts is changing from being handled in Illinois to being administered in Wisconsin. This will be better for families. Talking about financial literacy and educating young people, Wendy mentioned a credit union being run by some 2nd and 3rd grade students in Wisconsin. Clean water project in India: Dr. Kazi zoomed in to discuss success of solar and clean water project in India. The Rotary Club of Lake Mills donated $10,000 to the $100,000 project.
