Student Rotarians:

Ashlyn Primmer

Parents:Don and Rachel Primmer

  1. I have three siblings Jeremy, Kate, and Eli. When they are home we love to play board games, card games, and spend time outside. In my free time I love to play soccer, read, rock climb, hike, and play piano. Anything science and history is fascinating to me. I play five instruments; violin, cello, percussion, piano, and recently started clarinet. In summer and winter I teach gymnastics and in the fall and spring I ref soccer.

  2. In the past three years I was a part of musical, varsity and JV volleyball, varsity soccer, jazz band, chamber orchestra, solo and ensemble, elm club, french club, octagon club, Rock lake troopers 4-H club (president 11th grade, vice president 10th grade, reporter 9th grade), wrestling manager, Tri-M, state solo and ensemble, math team, battle of the books, and pop strings. In the coming year I will be participating in cross country, musical, chamber orchestra, Solo and ensemble, elm club, octagon club, Rock lake troopers 4-H club as treasurer, wrestling manager, Tri-M, math team, battle of the books, and varsity soccer.

  3. In 4-H for community service I have done our annual roadside clean up, written Christmas cards for people in nursing/retirement homes, taken care of gardens, Christmas caroling to the elderly, written Valentine's and letters to veterans, helped with toys for tots drives, and made crafts for retirement homes.

  4. My plan after high school is to go to either the University of Alabama in Huntsville or Rose Hulman Institute of Technology and get my bachelor's degree in physics and playing soccer for that school. After that I plan on getting my masters degree in astrophysics and working for a space exploration company.

  5. I want to be selected as a student rotation because it would be a good thing to put on college applications. I also believe that it is good for students to interact with the community and I think I can represent to student body very well. I am also interested in helping with rotary club activities to give back to the community because it has supported me throughout my whole life.

Kaitlyn Shadoski

Shadoski is the daughter of Fred and Debra. She has one younger sister, Jenna. While in school, Shadoski has been involved with volleyball, basketball, and track all four years. She was a captain for all three sports. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, Teens for Christ, A Cappella Choir, and participates in Operation Go mission trips. She is the salutatorian of her class.

She has helped the community by volunteering her time helping at Twice is Nice Resale Store in Jefferson, caroling at nursing homes, helping with the New Friends events, teaching Easter for Kids, playing piano at her church, and helping out at Warrior basketball and volleyball camps.

In her free time, she enjoys playing sports, hanging out with friends, spending time with family, and playing the piano.

After graduation, Shadoski plans to attend Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee to major in elementary education/special education. She will also play basketball at WLC.

Kaitlyn says, “I love helping people. I look forward to learning new ways to help others from the Rotary members.”

About myself:

I have always enjoyed pushing myself and trying new things. I like the feeling of pushing myself out of my comfort zone which is a big reason I am involved in so much at the school. Along with trying new things I also really enjoy the outdoors and being in nature. Some of my favorite things to do are hiking, zip lining, and mountain biking.

Why I want to be a Student Rotarian.

I believe that being a Student Rotarian and meeting Rotary members will help me grow as a person. I do currently believe that I am a strong leader but I have no doubt that they can be improved on by meeting with these Rotary members.
