Today, the Lake Mills Rotary Club had the privilege of honoring the life and legacy of longtime Rotarian Dr. Ken Stetson. We are dedicating a bench at Rotary Park in his honor.
Beth Naughton and Jim Wishau both gave a great dedications to remember Ken.
Ken was a dedicated educator, coach, administrator, community leader, and friend. After a distinguished career in education, he and his wife, Dixie, made Lake Mills their home, where Ken quickly became deeply involved in our community. He served on the Lake Mills School Board, supported the Lake Mills Community Foundation, led the congregation council at his church, and faithfully lived Rotary's motto of Service Above Self. Those who knew Ken remember his quick wit, dry sense of humor, love for the Wisconsin Badgers, and the genuine kindness he showed to everyone he met. Whether sharing a laugh, tending his beloved dahlias, or volunteering throughout the community, Ken made a lasting impact on the lives of so many. We are grateful for Ken's years of friendship, leadership, and service. His legacy will continue to inspire us, and he will be deeply missed.
💙 Thank you, Ken, for making Lake Mills—and Rotary—a better place.
