PROGRAM
Our guest speaker today was Rev. Phil Henselin is the executive director for Institutional Ministries.
Their mission is to provide direction, comfort, and hope by shining the light of Jesus' love on the walled-in souls of our communities.
He has been working with IM for 6 years. Traditional pastor for 31 years. Offered PTSD support group for firefighters & police officers.
Covid restrictions limited face-to-face ministry to 4429 opportunities to share God's Word. But God opened a new door through online devotions, enabling us to share His Word an additional 20,780.
Four Areas of Ministry
- Health care ministry includes mental health support.
- Extended care includes hospice care.
- Caring Support ministries has 3 areas of focus...
- people in prison and returning to society
- people who have alcohol and drug dependence
- frontline worker support
- Correctional care
- Jan 2020-2 participants...now have over 400 participants
In 2019, the ministry conducted 18366 visits in person visits. In 2021 they have over 90,000 visits.
