Program: Mick hosted a game of Kahoot and then presented his position of Assistant District Governor.
Our District is 6250. Our district is staffed as ours is with a Board of Directors, Executive Board, and Committees.
Mick overseas Group 11. Each club he represents is very different. He mentioned that Stoughton has $2 million! Some Rotary clubs have songs they sing, others say prayer, but we all share the same goal.
Mick attends 1 zoom meeting per month. He meets with all of the Presidents and there is training and networking.
Presidents oversee a lot and only serve for one year. As the Assistant Governor who is on for 3 years, the Assistant Governor keeps things organized. The job is to make sure everyone is working cohesively and he also makes sure that Rotary Clubs know their monetary opportunities.
A goal of Mick’s is collaborating with other clubs. If clubs work together we can up our grant totals and oftentimes triple our money. Mick has helped facilitate President networking events so that we can better work together.
