Junior Rotarians Hannah Link, Henry Ruedebusch, Carter Roekle - -recited the 4 way test.
Jenn Christian was thanked for being “Yes person” of the year for the Lake Mills Rotary Club, but did not get selected for the District 6250 “Yes person” of the year.
Thank you to Sandee for presenting on Paul Harris at the District Conference.
Park Equipment – Gerard Started the grant. We can get up to $5,000 from the district. We will get $5,300 ish from Rotary Foundation. Mick is still working on with Jeff Thompson and Rob Goetz in regard to which Park will be the home of the equipment and what our options are. Project may run into 2022.
Committee Reports
Jim Wishau gave a Foundation update indicating that Foundation met Monday and has decided to dedicate 3% of funds from the investments to projects / scholarships. The Foundation has also provided $3,000 to the scholarship Committee. $2,000 will be for the Dean Sanders Scholarship, and $1,00 for normal scholarships.
Mick gave a reminder of Hanging Baskets on May 4th. Enough people signed up so it should be good to go. Phone calls will go out the morning of the delivery.
Programs:
Judge Bennett Brantmeier then spoke about his role as a Jefferson County Circuit Court Judge. He spoke about his time the juvenile justice system as well as working on the Drug and Alcohol Court and working toward creating a Family Court. He discussed statistics concerning the likelihood of kids being involved in the criminal justice system if their parents were.
