Assembly Meeting Minutes - 01/30/2024

• Sandee – dog has been fixed
• Debb – did a photo shoot and taxes have been dropped off
• Beth – Knickerbocker weekend should be fun
• Jenn – empty nester (again)
• Barb – heading to Florida and new house could be ready in a couple of months

• Start time is 6:00pm/6:30pm. 
• Location varies week to week.
• Talk to people at your table at day meetings to encourage to attend
• Encourage car pool with fellow rotarians.

• Megs Lund (District 6250 Admin) is coming to Lake Mills at the end of February. Staying with Tom Vinz. Will schedule multi club event.

• Outstanding balances of dues and meals
  • Pay within 30 days of invoice
  • Dues can be paid yearly
  • Meals and happy bucks quarterly
     
• Youth Exchange
  • Forming Committee (Chair – Tonya)
  • Board approved to move forward for a refugee exchange student possibly the fall of 2024
  • District will give money to host student
  • Need 2-3 host families
  • Committee members needed
     
• Teacher/Educational Support Person of the Month

  • Winners will receive gift card
  • Introduced at Rotary meeting
  • Possibly to start in March
     
• Board approved softball team can use concession stand
   
• Pickle Ball Update
  • Funds raised ($15,800) ($775 remaining)

  • $5,000-$25,000 grant available
  • Monies received will go to Rotary Foundation
