Rotary Foundation meeting called to order by Jim W. Nominations received for the Foundation Board are Ed H. and Karen R. Brian B. made a motion to close nominations. Second by Don B. Motion carried. All in favor of Ed and Karen being on the Foundation Board.

Decision made at previous meeting to donate $1,000 to the Guatemala Midwife Project after Board vote and club vote.
A donation was also received by a Rotarian for $500 for this project. This project is eligible for matching grant. Motion made by Jim W. to add an additional $1,000 to project. Second by Ed H. Motion carried. Total would be $2,500.

Introduction speeches:
Garett T. is from Houston, Texas. He moved to Wisconsin for work at Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee. He was part of Interact while in high school. His grandfather was a Rotarian and he would bring Garett to the morning meetings when he was a child. Garett has been a part of Best Buddies, who help special needs children with friendship, jobs and to help them live independently. Garett has an Economics Degree from Texas A&M. His partner is working on a degree in genetics biology. His parents live in the Houston area, and he also has 1 sister. Garett has 3 cats in Wisconsin and 2 old dogs that live in Texas.
Emma P. is from London, England. She has many family members in England. According to her family, Emma wondered off and never came back. Her philosophy is “tea solves everything” and “rain is part of the day.” Emma was part of the Girl Guide until the age of 25 (like the Girl Scouts). Serving community is a way of life. Emma went to university and she loves people, adventure and opportunities. Emma worked at a camp in Plymouth, WI and survived on little sleep. She lives on Lake Koshkonong with her dog. Emma is a mortgage loan officer, travel agent and rugby coach. She loves to help people move forward.
Announcements:
Post prom party for Lake Mills HS and Lakeside Lutheran HS will be May 2, 2026. Will need donations of gift cards and baked goods plus volunteers at the event.
Town and Country Days paraded is set for June 27, 2026. Will need volunteers to walk in parade and hand out candy and 5K Run flyers.
Jefferson County Fair might be looking for bartenders July 10-12, 2026. Stay tuned for more information.
A rodeo will take place September 18-20, 2026. More info in the future.
